Shawn has over 28 years in the real estate development and construction industries. She serves as the Executive Vice President for HDDC and oversees the operations and development process for all real estate deals. Utilizing various forms of financing including LIHTC and New Market Tax Credits, HOME, and CDBG, she has managed various development and capital improvement programs valued at more than $700 million regionally and abroad. Shawn gained non-profit development experience during her tenure at Quest Communities, where she served as the Director of Real Estate Development. This experience afforded her the insight to structuring and layering many forms of financing and grants to close deals aimed at housing the most vulnerable residents primarily at 30% AMI. Prior to her employment at Quest, Shawn was the Owner & CEO of Infrasite Management Inc., a firm that provided real estate development consulting and construction management for many Real Estate Developers in metro Atlanta for over 15 years. Her broad areas of expertise included strategic planning, implementation and management of various demolition, affordable housing, capital improvement & site development projects. Shawn began her career working as a general contractor for one of the largest Global contractors, Skanska Construction, where she was an office/project engineer, building such Atlanta legacy projects as Centennial Olympic Park, Turner Field, and State Farm Arena. She migrated to affordable housing working as a Construction Manager for various entities including Atlanta Housing and Pinnacle Realty, where she was responsible for the capital improvements program of over 12 properties totaling over $28M over a period of 3 years. 

Her additional affordable housing experience includes her work as a Project Manager at The Integral Group, where she managed the demolition, public improvements, and construction of several affordable transformative HOPE VI housing communities including Centennial Place, Villages at Carver, Scholars Landing and Auburn Pointe to name a few.
