Executive Director
Maybelyn Rodríguez Laureano, known as May Rodríguez (pronouns she/hers), is a dynamic community builder and passionate racial justice advocate serving as the Executive Director for the South Florida Community Development Coalition (SFCDC) since September 2021. She brings a decade of nonprofit management and resource development experience. Prior to joining SFCDC, she served as the Director of Philanthropy for Florida Rising, the largest nonpartisan statewide political organizing group. She has also served in numerous civic, social, and political organizations and boards, which presently includes the Miami-Dade County Build Blocks Fund Advisory Council as well as the Miami Coalition to Advance Racial Equity. She is a two-time HBCU graduate of Fayetteville State University where she earned a BA in Communications and MBA in Project Management and is currently completing a Master's of Science in International Real Estate at Florida International University.
