Director of Training & Technical Assistance

Joanna serves as Director of Training and Technical Assistance at the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations. She has over fifteen years of experience in community-based economic development and nonprofit capacity building, with expertise in program design, curriculum development, corridor management, community wealth building strategies, project management, and resource development. Prior to joining PACDC in 2021, Joanna co-founded North 4th, a Philadelphia-based consultancy with a focus on community and economic development, where she worked with community-based organizations and local partners and provided resource development support to CDFIs in Philadelphia and other markets. She has held previous roles with community development corporations and other community-based organizations in Philadelphia, Oakland, and Washington DC, with work focusing on community organizing, leadership development and environmental justice. Joanna received her Masters degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, and currently serves on the board of The Merchants Fund.
